Privacy Policy

Last updated: 28 August 2026

This policy explains what personal information we collect through fuvia.co, portal.fuvia.co and any related Fuvia services (the “Services”), how we use it, and what rights you have.

1. Who we are

Fuvia is an online learning platform operated by Future Via LLC (“Fuvia”, “we”, “us”), a limited liability company registered in California, United States, with its principal address at 530 Technology Drive, Suite 100, Irvine, CA 92618, USA.

If you have questions about this policy, contact us at privacy@fuvia.co.

2. Who this policy covers

Our Services are used by three groups, and what we collect differs for each:

  • Students aged 12 to 19, who hold learning accounts
  • Parents and guardians, who create or authorize student accounts and manage billing
  • Schools and institutions, who license Fuvia for their students

3. Information we collect

Information you give us directly

  • Account details: name, email address, date of birth or age band, country, language preference, password
  • Parent or guardian details where an account is created or authorized by an adult: name, email address, phone number, relationship to the student
  • School details: institution name, country, contact name, role, work email, phone number, student numbers, intended program format
  • Support and communication records, including messages exchanged with mentors and our support team

Information created as your child or student uses the Services

  • Course enrolments, lesson progress, completion status, and time spent
  • Final projects and any files, text or media submitted as coursework
  • Challenge entries and Student Showcase submissions
  • Certificates issued, including the name printed on them

Information collected automatically

  • Device and browser type, operating system, language settings
  • IP address and approximate location derived from it
  • Log data: pages viewed, features used, dates and times of access
  • Cookies and similar technologies, as described in section 10

Payment information

Payments are processed by our third-party payment provider, Stripe. We do not store full card numbers. We receive confirmation of payment, the subscription plan, billing status, and a masked reference to the payment method.

Information from schools

Where a school licenses Fuvia, the school may provide us with student names, email addresses, year groups and class assignments so accounts can be created. We process that information on the school’s instructions, for the purpose of delivering the program the school has licensed.

4. How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • Create and administer accounts and school licenses
  • Deliver courses, track progress, and issue certificates
  • Provide 1-on-1 mentor support and respond to enquiries
  • Run monthly challenges and the Student Showcase
  • Process payments, manage subscriptions and prevent payment fraud
  • Send service messages, such as account, billing and security notices
  • Send marketing communications to parents, teachers and school contacts, where permitted, with an unsubscribe option in every message
  • Improve course content and platform performance through aggregated analysis
  • Protect the security and integrity of the Services
  • Meet legal, tax and regulatory obligations

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use student personal information for targeted advertising.

5. Children and student privacy

We take particular care with information about minors.

  • Students under 13 may only use the Services through an account created or authorized by a parent, guardian, or a school acting with parental authorization.
  • Where a school licenses Fuvia, the school confirms it has the authority to provide student information to us and to authorize our processing of it for educational purposes.
  • We collect from students only what is needed to deliver the courses, track progress and issue certificates. We do not require students to provide more information than that in order to participate.
  • We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from a child under 13 without verifiable parental or school consent. If we learn we have done so, we delete it.
  • Student coursework and progress data are not used for advertising, and are not disclosed publicly except where a student’s project is entered into the Student Showcase, which requires parent or school approval.
  • A parent, guardian or school may at any time request access to, correction of, or deletion of a student’s personal information by contacting privacy@fuvia.co.

6. Legal bases for processing

Where data protection law in your region requires a legal basis, we rely on:

  • Performance of a contract, to provide the Services you or your school signed up for
  • Consent, for marketing communications, non-essential cookies, and public showcase participation
  • Legitimate interests, to secure and improve the Services, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights
  • Legal obligation, where retention or disclosure is required by law

7. When we share information

We share personal information only in these circumstances:

  • Service providers who work on our behalf: hosting, payment processing, email delivery, analytics and customer support. They may use the information only to provide services to us.
  • Schools, where a student uses a school-licensed account. Schools receive progress and completion data for their own students.
  • Parents and guardians, who receive progress information about their own child.
  • Licensing and distribution partners, where a partner delivers Fuvia content in a given territory. Where this applies, the partner is bound by contract to protect the information and use it only for that purpose.
  • Legal and safety reasons, where disclosure is required by law, or is necessary to protect the rights, safety or property of a student, another user, or Fuvia.
  • Corporate transactions, in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this policy continuing to apply.

8. International transfers

Fuvia operates from the United States and works with schools, partners and families in other countries, including Türkiye, Saudi Arabia and the European Union. Your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries whose data protection laws differ from those of your own.

Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for these transfers, including standard contractual clauses.

9. How long we keep information

We keep personal information for as long as an account is active and for as long as needed to provide the Services.

  • Account and progress data: retained while the account is active, then deleted or anonymized after account closure
  • Issued certificates and completion records: retained so students can verify their achievements
  • Billing and tax records: retained for the period required by law
  • Marketing contact details: retained until you unsubscribe

10. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the Services are used.

Non-essential cookies are used only with your consent, which you can change at any time by contacting privacy@fuvia.co. Disabling essential cookies may prevent parts of the platform from working.

11. Security

We use technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including encrypted connections, access controls, and restricted staff access on a need-to-know basis. No online service can be guaranteed completely secure, but we take these obligations seriously and review our measures regularly.

12. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you or your child
  • Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete
  • Delete information, subject to legal retention requirements
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Receive a copy of your information in a portable format
  • Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

California residents have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what personal information we collect and to request its deletion. We do not sell personal information as defined by that law.

To exercise any of these rights, contact privacy@fuvia.co. We respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. Where a student’s account is managed by a school, we may direct the request to the school.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. If changes are material, we will notify account holders by email or through the platform before they take effect. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
